This weekend started off very well as I qualified 2nd in class and 3rd overall (36+ cars). I missed pole position by just .205 of a second. About thirty minutes after my qualifying session ended, the skies opened up with torrential rain flooding most of the circuit and paddock area. The officials decided to cancel the rest of Saturday's events, moving the endurance race to the end of the day on Sunday.
We had a different driver racing in my car during the sprint races on Sunday. Unfortunately the driver was involved in an accident with the car (not his fault) in one of the sprint races. The car was damaged too much to be fixed properly at the track, let alone in time for the endurance race.
All in all I was proud of my performance at PBIR, I learned more about the circuit and the Spec Racer Ford since the last time I was competing at the track. It was unfortunate that the weekend ended the way it did, but it happens. Now I am looking forward the next race and the future of my racing career!
